A GREAT DAY FOR THE BEACH!

The weather was beautiful this weekend so we decided we had to go to the beach. I am so glad that the cold and rainy days are coming to an end because I truly love the summertime. James was pretty hilarious this trip... He was really scared of the waves, and would cry every time we brought him close to the water. Once we showed him how to throw rocks in the water he finally warmed up to getting a little closer. He would throw a rock and say "Yeah Man!" and then run away from an on coming wave. It was very entertaining to watch.

Saturday

Saturdays are the best... It is so fun to see the way Jame's face lights up when he sees that daddy is home. He loves to climb into bed and snuggle up next to him. Usually I am in the kitchen making breakfast, and I can hear the hysterical laughs coming from both of them as they tickle and wrestle each other until there is no more energy left.

This particular Saturday it was to cold to go to the beach, but James really needed to get out and play so we went to the park to blow some steam. It was a special treat for James since usually it's just him and I at the park (A 9 month pregnant Mom isn't to fun for running and playing) Anyhow, the two of them had a great time playing, running, laughing, and digging. It was pretty windy and cold outside but neither of them seemed to mind.
For dinner I made Jame's favorite (Spaghetti) this is the one food he will continually shove into his mouth until there is nothing left... He will then proceed to pick the remaining noodles of his lap when he has finish what is on his plate. Yes, it looks messy; but usually there is very little to clean up off the floor.

Getting Ready for Emily

Today was my last day on bed rest... You are probably thinking "Give me a break it was only two weeks". Let me tell you; that two weeks was miserable. I am not good at sitting on my... "you know what" especially when I have James running around. Good news is I am a free woman as of tomorrow and I simply cannot wait to scrub my house from top to bottom just the way I like it. It is super hard to give up control to you husband, friends and family as far as the house work goes. Anyhow, Emily will be here soon and their is much to do before she arrives. We have started preparing by; organizing closets, sorting out cloths, cleaning our carpets, putting up shelves, setting up the swing, and getting her bed ready. We cannot wait for our new addition to arrive, we are so excited!

Here are some pictures of her little bed. The bassinet belonged to James so we had to spruce it up a little to make it welcoming for our little girl. (So cute!)

New Camera

Well I am so excited, Ryan and I got a new camera because our last one broke recently. This Camera has every feature that I wanted and takes better pictures then I could have imagined. I took this picture of Ryan's hands on the Macro setting... I can't believe how good the quality is for how much the camera cost. We bought the camera on Amazon. It is a Canon Power Shot A590 and we only paid $134.00 for it. That price included the camera, a 4GB memory card, cleaning kit, TV attachment, multi media card reader, and carrying case. (What a steal)

I know as your looking at the pictures your thinking WOW!... Ryan has some beautiful hands. Well if it weren't for Ryan's beautiful hard working hands we would be camera-less, home-less, food-less. etc. So I love and am very thankful for these beautiful hands.

Quick Pregnancy Up-date

Well… Baby Emily is trying her best to arrive early (just like her brother). With 5 weeks still to go my body is progressing very quickly through this first stage of labor. As of Monday I was 70% effaced and almost 2cm dilated, so my doctor decided to put me on bed rest for the next two weeks. This is to try and prevent what could be a very early delivery. When my water broke with James (3 weeks early) I was 75% effaced and 3cm dilated. You can see that potentially I don’t have long before she gets here. Bed rest sucks... and it's even worse with a 1 &1/2 year old. I am feeling very sad because James is going to have to spend a few days a week with people from the church in order for me to get the proper rest that I need to make sure that Emily arrives healthy. Wish me luck as I lay on my couch (feet up) with absolutely nothing to do for the next two weeks. Pray for Emily that when she arrives she can be healthy enough to avoid the NICU. Thank you!
